Punishment Delayed

American Prospect Online - Punishment Delayed: "Samson and her family are among possibly thousands of Hurricane Katrina victims who are being denied help because of past drug convictions. Tough-on-crime laws passed mostly in the 1990s bar drug felons -- though not other kinds of offenders -- from receiving a range of federal assistance, from student loans to cash welfare, now known as Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF)."

lots of people are being denied hurricane aid because of past drug charges. just because this guy smoked crack six years ago, the feds won't help him rebuild his life after the hurricane... this is typical of the problem with the drug war.

the drug war must be stopped... i'm so freaking angry right now that i'm shaking...

pregnant jenee

here're some pics of jenee pregnant about 7 months. i love her. the last pic looks like she's waving goodbye. also, there are some pics of the back of my home... i'll probably post some more, cause now that i look at them the place looks freakin sweet!

has anyone seen the trailer for the movie in the mix, starring usher? if there's anything that looks like a steaming pile of cinematic poop, it's that movie. and i'll bet it's gonna be a box-office hit...

on a lighter note, there's a movie called Martin & Orloff that looks REALLY funny.

thank you, theodore roosevelt

The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life. -- t. roosevelt
